MRS. NELLA IMES OF ST. CHARLES DIES
Mrs. Nella P. Imes, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 73 years of age.
Mrs. Imes was the former Nella Pearl King, daughter of Ambury A. and Minerva Jane King. She was born Sept. 29, 1888, and with the exception of a few years in North Dakota, her life was spent in this county.
She was married March 23, 1911, to Floyd R. Imes. His death occurred on March 13, 1931.
Mrs. Imes was a member of the Methodist church, and of the Order of Eastern Star, of which she was a past matron.
Surviving are her three sons, Floyd R. Imes of St. Charles, Gerald W. Imes of Dickens, Ia., and Ivyl Imes of the U.S. Veterans' hospital at Knoxville; two grandchildren; a brother, Perry King of St. Charles; and two sisters, Mrs. Zella Powers of Indianola and Bessie Corkill, of Waukegan, Illinois
