Donald E. Mitchell, 67, DuBois, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at home.
Born December 10, 1955, in Punxsutawney, he was the son of the late Elmer W. and Gloria (Williams) Mitchell Sr.
On July 24, 2004, he married Sarah (Williamson) Mitchell in DuBois. She survives.
Donald graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School and the DuBois Business College with an associate's degree. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years prior to his retirement. Donald was a member of Hawthorn Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed working on computers and playing computer games.
In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by two children, Matthew P. (Amanda) Mitchell, Minneapolis, MN and Esther M. Mitchell, Tucson, AZ; three step-children, Treston Harris, Lock Haven, Brent Harris, DuBois, and Miranda Harris, Brockway; a granddaughter, Zoe Mitchell; four step-grandchildren, Nathan, Hunter, Gabe, and Liam Harris; seven siblings, Theodore J. Mitchell, Punxsutawney, Elmer Mitchell Jr., Punxsutawney, Patty (Paul) Eudik, Glen Campbell, Wanda (Jake) Wachob, Frostburg, Daniel Mitchell, Punxsutawney, Kenneth Mitchell, Punxsutawney, and Pamela (Don) Newcome, Frostburg; a sister-in-law, Susan Mitchell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward.
There will be no public visitation or service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
