Glade was raised and educated and has lived his entire life in Grays Lake except for the time spent in the Air Force during WW II. He married Eliza Lei Call June 22 1946. He is the youngest of 10 children born to James Lowry and Genevieve Hocking Sibbett. He is the father of 7 children, 4 boys and 3 girls. Glade loved his little farm. He raised horses, cattle, and a few llamas. He had also traveled most of the western United States to witch for water. He was good at that and everyone knew it. He passed away at the age of 83 from a heart attack.

GRAYS LAKE - Glade Goldsworthy Sibbett, 83, of Grays Lake, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2004, at his home.
Glade was born October 9, 1920, at Grays Lake, the son of James Lowry and Geneviere [Genevieve] Hocking Sibbett.

Glade was raised and educated and had lived all of his life in Grays Lake, except for the time spent in the Air Force during World War II. Glade was married to Eliza Lei Call on June 22, 1946, at Soda Springs. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple in Logan.

He was a high priest in the Grays Lake Ward, where he served as bishop, bishop's counselor, Scout master and Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed music with his family and to entertain others. He was a water dowser, and enjoyed genealogy and carving. He was a member of the DAV.

Glade is survived by his wife, Eliza Lei of Grays Lake; four sons and three daughters; Donald Glade Sibbett of Grays Lake; James L. and MeleAna Sibbett of McCleary, Wash.; Gene D. and Terry [Terri] Sibbett of Smithfield, Utah; Larry H. and Robin Sibbett of Mena, Ark.; Linda Lei and Bill Tadd of McCleary, Wash.; Judy and Phil Geddes of Banida, Idaho; Lisa and Tim Olorenshaw of Soda Springs; 41 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and seven brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at the Soda Springs 1st and 5th LDS wards Chapel on 3rd East and 4th South, with Bishop Dave Smith of the Grays Lake Ward officiating.

The family will meet friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sims Funeral Home and from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Ward Chapel. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs with military graveside services by the American Legion and VFW.
