Obituary in the Caribou County Sun dated May 1, 1986 reads:
BILL SIBBETT SERVICE IN WASH.

Wilbur H. "Bill" Sibbett , 68, former Grays Lake resident, who was currently residing in Walla Walla Washington, died Tuesday April 22, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
The funeral was held April 26, at the LDS Church in Walla Walla, the Bishop Larry Johnson officiating. The ritualistic service was conducted by VFW Grant Farmer Post No. 992. Burial was in the Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens.
Sibbett was born Dec. 17, 1917, in Wayan to James L. and Genevieve Hocking Sibbett. He attended schools at Grays Lake. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Arny, stationed in the Pacific Theater.
In 1940 he married Mary Kirk. She died in 1946. He moved to Walla Walla in 1951 when he went to work for the Tidewater Barge Lines and became chief engineer. While working for the company, he met his present wife, Violet Bate who was a cook on the barge. They were married May 1, 1959.
Sibbett retired from Tidewater in 1977. He was an avid fisherman and spent much time during the summers on the Blackfoot Reservoir. He also enjoyed reconditioning bicycles and rodeoing.
He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Sibbett is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert Sibbett of Longview, Washington, and Richard Sibbett of Walla Walla; three brothers, Glenn Sibbett, Riverton, Utah, and Russell and Glade Sibbett, both of Grays Lake; 10 grandchildren; and seven great granchildren.
A Step daughter, Bunny Capell, died in 1984. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
