Beulah Mullen Sroufe, 82, of Mt. Orab died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001 at the Locust Ridge Nursing Home in Williamsburg.

She was a housewife and a member of the VFW 9772 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 180 in Georgetown.

Ms. Sroufe was born Aug. 16, 1918 the daughter of the late Leslie Guy and Zelma Dunn Mullen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Sroufe.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary Sroufe of Mt. Orab and David Wilson, Jr. and Amy Sroufe of Milford; three granddaughters, Debra Lynette Benzing of Edgewood, Ky., Nichole Paige Sroufe of Blue Ash, and Tamara Brooke Sroufe of Loveland; one great grandson, Landon Taylor Perrault of Edgewood, Ky.; one niece, Sue Duffey; two nephews, Jerry Duffey and John Nichols; and special friend, Carol Sroufe.

Visitation and funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 5 at the Thompson-Stevens Funeral Home in Mt. Orab. Burial was in the Mt. Orab Cemetery.

If desired, memorials may be made to the Mt. Orab Life Squad, Sroufe Scholarship Fund/Western Brown High School or American Cancer Society.
