RITES SAT. FOR EMMOR C. SWITZER (Aug. 4, 1971)

Emmor C. SWITZER, 73, of 605 Fleming Boulevard, Rensselaer, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday at Jasper County Hospital following an illness of 11 days.

Born in Rensselaer on July 3, 1898, he was a son of George B. and Mary L. SWITZER. He was married on September 1, 1932, in Union City, Tennessee, to Alna WRIGHT.

A lifetime resident of the Rensselaer area, he was educated at Aix. He was a retired truck driver for CRITSER Bros., employed there for fourteen years. Prior to that he had owned a feed store.

He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Odd Fellows.

Surviving with the widow are two sons: George E. of San Diego, California, and William E. of Chicago; one grandchild; one sister, Clara JOHNSON of Santa Anna, California; and two brothers, Warren of Montgomery, Alabama, and John A. of Rensselaer. he was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be held from Granlund Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Clyde BRUCE officiating. Interment will be in Weston Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. Friday.
