BAILEY, ROBERT LAKE. Became postmaster of Bluefield on August 27, the son of James M. and Julia Haven (Honaker) Bailey. Attended Concord Normal, Dunsmore Business College in Staunton, Va. Was a member of the firm, Sudduth and Bailey until 1904, when he became cashier of the First National Bank of Keystone. Became associated with several coal companies; later joined the Hi-Grade Oil and Gas Company. Was interested in the Commerce Theatre Company and the Mercer Amusement Company at the time of his appointment as postmaster. Married Laura Evans of Columbus, Ohio, October 12, 1915. Three children - Adelaide, Constance and David.
