The former Anna M. Goerlitz was born in the German Volga District on Dec. 21, 1887, daughter of John and Marie Goerlitz, and was married there to George Schmick on Dec. 27, 1905. They came to this country in 1915 and to Washington state, then resided in before coming to Oshkosh in 1926.
Mrs. Schmick was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, George; one daughter, Mrs. Alvin Harrison, Oshkosh; five sons, George Schmick Town of Omro, Henry and Daniel Schmick, Oshkosh, Eugene Schmick, Salem, Ore. and Wilbert Schmick, with the Marines in Washington state; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev.
Glenn H. Unke officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at Marquardt Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. on Monday, and at the church on Monday from noon until the hour of services. A memorial has been established, to which friends may contribute.
