Ruth Alice "Kathleen" Luzier, 81 of Byrnedale, formerly of Clearfield, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the home of her daughter.
She was born on April 21, 1926 in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Amos P. and Ruth M. (Johnston) Hess.
Mrs. Luzier retired as a waitress from the Clearfield Diner. She volunteered at the Henry E. Meyers High Rise Tower and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Michael Sicks Post 1785 Auxillary and The Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6 Auxillary.
She is survived by five children, Delores Hess of Clearfield, Kenneth Luzier of Niles, OH, Darlene Luzier of Glen Richey, Ronald Luzier of Clearfield, Brenda Luzier of Byrnedale, also 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, four brothers, John Hess of Hyde, James Hess of Port Royal, Andrew Hess of Clearfield, Edward Hess of Curwensville, two sisters, Sara Rowles of Clearfield, Mary Harris of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Luzier on November 8, 1977, an infant son Tharon Luzier, two brothers Amos and William Hess, one sister Rhoda Billotte and an infant sister, Romona Hess.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday March 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from 6-8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9-10:00 AM.
