Emily Dumond, the "Belle" of Belmond, was the fifth child of born to Elizabeth and Archer when she was born on July 22, 1841. She married Thomas Sheets on January 1, 1860, in Wright County. They lived most of their married lives in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, and had six children. Thomas, who was described as a wealthy stockman, died in 1889 and Emily died on April 6, 1909. Both are buried in the Mormon Cemetery near Macedonia.
