Funeral services for Grady Lee Nabors long time Powell resident were conducted in Madill Thursday afternoon.

Mr. Nabors died Wednesday morning at the hospital in Madill at the age of 77. He had been in ill health for the past four years.

Mr. Nabors was born in Grantham Dec. 24, 1908, son of the late Joel Alexander and Eria Nabors. He was reared in the Powell community. He resided in Fort Worth, Tex., and parts of western Oklahoma for a short time. He lived most of his life in Powell. He had been a farmer most of his life and also worked for Armour and Company while living in Fort Worth. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Powell Assembly of God Church.

Mr. Nabors was married to Gladys Bearden Jan 30,1926 in Lebanon. She survives. He is also survived by four sons, Ovin, Tillford, Leon, and George Nabors, all of Fort Worth, four daughters, LaFern Henson of Fort Worth, Audrey Kennedy of Madill, Nancy Markum of Benbrook, Tex., and Fronia Molsbee of Halton City, Tex., three step-sons, Ralph of Fort Worth, Aubrey of Madill, and Fines Morgan of Santa Anna, Calif., 29 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren.

Other survivors are two brothers; J.C. of Powell and George Nabors of Superior, Ariz.

Mr. Nabors was preceded in death by a son Baskell Earl Nabors in 1939. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Odie and A.B. Nabors and a sister, Lula Yow.

Services were held in Watts Memorial Chapel with Bill Dun officiating and Phillip Kennedy assisting. Music was arranged by Tandy Markum with Francis Cox as organist. Burial was in the Powell Cemetery with Masonic services. Casket escorts Terry and Jerry Eldridge, Dan Grider, Morton Watts, Charles Sisson and Woodrow Wilson.
