Odie Austin Nabors Dies Monday Evening at Home

Odie Austin Nabors, 66 year old native of Marshall County, died Monday evening at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Nabors were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Shay Holiness Church where he was a member. A.G. Arnold officiated the services. Music was arranged by Bill Dunn.
Interment was in the Shay Cemetery. Watts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket escorts were Monroe Thompson, Milton Ash, Melvin Justice, Marvin Devin, Mack Purnell, and Clarence Adams.
Born January 11, 1905 at Powell, I.T. Nabors was reared and lived his entire life in that area. He was a farmer.
He was married to Miss Fannie Bagwell on December 28, 1924 in Powell. She survives.
Other survivors include six sons J.D., Eugene, Gerald and Delmas all of Fort Worth, Donald and Virgil Nabors both of Kingston, and two daughters Irene Bearden of Fort Worth and Mrs. Opal Cox of Kingston. Also 22 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Four brothers Grady and J.C. of Powell, George of Superior, Arizonia, and A.B. Nabors of Fort Worth, and a sister Mrs. Lula Yow also of Powell.
