A.B. Nabors, 58, Dies Wednesday, Rites Held Friday

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon for A.B. Nabors a 58 year-old Powell native. Mr. Nabors died the preceding Wednesday afternoon at his home in Madill. His death was attributed to a heart attack. Vance Crowe officiated for the services from Watts memorial Chapel. Music was arranged by Bill Dunn with Johnnie Ruth Jacks as organist. burial was in the Powell Cemetery. Born Feb 19,1922 at Powell, I.T. Mr. Nabors was reared in that area. He farmed several years before moving to Fort Worth. He was employed with Armour and Company. Moving back to Madill two years ago. Mr. Nabors was married to Fannie Chapman, Dec 7, 1979. He was a member of the Holiness Church. Other than his wife Mr. Nabors is survived by three brothers; Grady and J.C. of Powell and George Nabors of Superior, Ariz., and a sister Mrs. Lula Yow of Madill. Casket escorts for services and internment were Amos Lanning, Carl Lee, Tilford Nabors, Earl Orr, Petty and Wayne Sliger.
