Newton Francis Austin, known as Frank, was born in Paris, Bear Lake, Idaho in 1867 to Newton Francis Austin Sr and Sarah Jane Wilcox. Frank has eight siblings: Augustus Edwin, Martha Quina, Theodore Hugh, James Boyd, Leon Bernard, John McAslin, David Dewitt, and Paul Leroy. He married Annie Martha Nelson 1 October 1891, in Dingle Del, Bear Lake, Idaho. They moved to Cardston, Alberta, Canada in 1900. They had five children: Lottie, Phoebe Hazel, Thomas Francis, Russell Dewitt, and Max Hugh. Over the years, Frank was employed as a farm laborer, livery man and a cowboy. He died in Lethbridge, Alberta from an accidental gun shot would to his foot. This lead to a staph infection and then blood poisoning. Frank is buried in Cardston, Alberta.
