Bettie A. Ahlemann 85, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Petersburg, IN. She was born May 24, 1937 in Gibson County to Howard and Mary Katharine (Null) Whitehouse.

Bettie spent most of her life in Princeton. She graduated from Mt. Olympus High School. She was a retired librarian from the Princeton Public Library after working there just short of 40 years. She had a love for all things genealogy and is credited for starting the Genealogy Dept at the library. She spent much of her own time going to various locations to obtain records making copies to create a starting point for reference materials. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was very involved in their lives. She liked to sew and cook which she was especially good at. Of course she always had a project she was working on and always had a book in hand. She was a kind person, always trying to help those in need around her.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Ahlemann; sisters , Fannie Miller and Mamie Turpin.

Burial at the Mt.Olive Cemetery in Mt.Olympus.
