Harold was born in Grangeville, ID on May 29, 1930. He graduated from High School in Bonners Ferry, ID. He married Dorothy L. Marks on October 30, 1954 in Coeur d'Alene, ID. He worked as a welder and heavy machine mechanic. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army. He was involved in raising Santa Gertrudis cattle in Oregon. A familiar sight was his yellow 1960 Chevy pick-up.
