Robert Best Lyster passed away at his home on East Beaver Creek, February 1, following a heart attack.

He was born on July 30, 1897 at the Lyster homestead where he died. He was married to Agnes M. Simmons in Tillamook on August 5, 1916. He was a member of the Tillamook lodge 1437 BPOE and Pleasant Valley Grange, and had many friends throughout the locality.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Mrs. Agnes Lyster; three children, Mrs. Louise Olson of Longview, Wash.; Mrs. Marjorie Rawls and Robert Lyster Jr., of Tillamook; two brothers, Armstrong Brown Lyster and Fred K. Lyster of Tillamook; seven grand children and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, February 4, 1953 at 1:00pm in the Memorial Chapel of Lundberg and Son with Rev. Charles Christy and Rev Lloyd Johnson officiating. James Murray, vocalist, sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross", accompanied by Mrs. Dwight Near. Bearers were Frank Simmons, Casper Robitsch, Jim Finnell, George Porter, Thomas Porter and Ernest Newberg.

Vault interment was made in the family plot at the Foland (aka Beaver) Cemetery at Beaver, Oregon, with Lundberg and Son entrusted with arrangements
