Edmund Francis Lyster, was born June 5, 1843 in Wexford County, Ireland and died Jan. 8, 1928 at the age of 85 years in Tillamook. He came to America with his parents when he was 5 years old. After having served two years in the union army, he moved to Oregon in 1874 and settled on a claim near Cornelius, where he was married to Rilda J. Tucker, April 14, 1879. From there he moved to East Beaver in 1882.
He is survived by Mrs. Rilda Lyster, Fred Kimzey Lyster, Redwood City, CA; Robert Best Lyster, Tillamook; Mrs. Fanny Ethel Dye, Tillamook; Armstrong Brown, Edmund Francis Lee and Gertrude of Emuclaw, Wash. He leaves 14 grandchildren, 7 great grand children and other nieces and nephews of Tillamook.
The Masonic order had charge of the funeral. He was buried in the Beaver Cemetery.
