Services for E. Truman Neeley, 71, Fillmore, formerly of Plainfield, will be Thursday, December 11 at 11 a.m. in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Rev Max Case will officiate with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Born at New Winchester May 3, 1915, he was the son of James and Dora Speer Neeley. In 1938, he married Geraldine Bennett, who survives. Mr. Neeley, a resident of Plainfield most of his life, died Sunday, December 7 in St Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He had owned and operated his own excavating business, retiring in 1969. He was a member of Bridgeport United Methodist Church, Plainfield Fraternal Order of Police, Plainfield Eagle Lodge and Plainfield Moose Lodge. Surviving with his wife are two sons, Glen Neeley, Little Point, Indiana, and Earl Neeley, Plainfield; daughters, Corenia Pitchford, Coatesville, Carol Andre, Pennsylvania, and Mary Jane Dickhaus, Plainfield; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, J.P. Neeley, Indianapolis, Crafton Neeley, Greencastle, Chester Neeley, Clayton, and Paul Neeley, Plainfield; sisters, Pearl and Mabel Ruth Neeley, both of Indianapolis.
