Charles "Chet" C. Neeley, 68, Fillmore, died April 13 in Plainfield. He was born to James Pat Neeley and Dora Spears and was married to Maxine Neeley, who survives. He was a farmer in Hendricks County, retired from Yellow Freight in 1985 after 16 years and also worked at Daum Overnight Trucking from 1957 to 1969. Mr. Neeley served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the Clayton Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife; sons, Chester David Neeley of North Port, Florida, Luther Michael Neeley of Rockville, and Edward Patton Neeley of Filmore; daughter, Helen Gail Patrick of Filmore; brothers, Crafton Neeley of Morton, J.P. Neeley and Paul Neeley, both of Plainfield; son-in-law, Dan Patrick; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted April 16 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home with John McKay officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.
