William E. S. "Scott" Neeley was the son of James Patton Neeley and Laura Frances Dillion Neeley. Family records show he was married to Thelma Woodward Neeley and one of their sons, Glenn "Pete" Neeley, married Velma Pendleton Neeley. They had one son named Lynn Neeley who had a daughter named Stephanie Neeley, a cousin and member of the F*A*G community.
Scott was a coal miner until laid off sometime in the 1950's and joined the sheriff's department working his way to chief of police, possibly in Jonesville, Virginia, before passing, according to records from "black lung", in 1980.
