1922 ~ 2008
Donna Lee Bartholomew Carlson, passed away Feb. 10, 2008 in the Fillmore Community Medical Center. She was born August 30, 1922 to Loy D. Bartholomew and Juniaett Callister. She graduated from Millard High School, then went to work at Hill Field and Ogden Arsenal during World War II. She met and married David Fenstermaker in 1944. They lived in Murray, Utah, where her only child was born. He died 5 months later from pneumonia. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. In 1957 her husband was killed in a truck accident. Later she married Emil Carlson in 1959. They were active members in the church. She held several callings, one being the ward librarian for 30 years. She loved genealogy work, and was a dedicated visiting teacher. She always sang in the ward choir. She was an active member of the DUP for years working in the presidency as a music leader. She was a living sister and Aunt. She is survived by her sister, Jean (Lester) Dobson Holden, UT; niece, Leslie (Greg) Williams Murray; nephews, Dr. Dennis Dobson Provo, Loy (Carolyn) Dobson St. George, Jeff (Janese) Dobson Tocoma, WA, Judy and (Pete) Quentis Phoenix, AZ, Kay Lee (Carl) Hallstrom Los Angeles, CA. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Vernon and Calvin. A special thanks to the nurses and Hospice nurses at Fillmore Hospital. Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, with a viewing one hour prior. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
