A Loving Husband

Emil J. Carlson, 85, died Sept. 1, 2003 at the Murray Care Center.

He was born Dec. 6, 1917 in Sandy, Utah to John E. and Ingrid Hoaglund Carlson. He was a hard worker, beginning early in life to help support his family. He married Donna Lee Bartholomew, June 30, 1959. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to sing in the ward choir, and was a dedicated home teacher. He was a friend to everyone, and a kind and loving brother.

Survived by his wife; brother, Irvin; sister-in-law, Jean (Lester) Dobson and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alvin; sisters, Ellen, Eleanor, and Inez.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 4th, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.
