Alonzo Lenton Brown was the son of Francis Marion Brown and Rebecca (Parker) Brown. "Lon" was born in Walker County, Texas 22 March 1857. On December 21, 1887, he married Florence Hermoine Koehl, daughter of William and Charlotte Elizabeth (Lindner) Koehl who came to Walker County in 1854. "Lon" and Florence Brown had seven children: John Francis 'Frank', Maggie May, Effie Lenora, Bertha Elizabeth 'Berta', Carl, Lenton Phipps and Nona. The family lived in Walker County for a number of years, then moved to a farm in Coleman County. Alonzo died February 8, 1926. Florence was born October 15, 1867 in Walker Co, Texas and died December 30, 1939. Both are buried at Santa Anna, Texas in Coleman County.
