Find A Grave ID

I am a wife and stay at home mom. I started researching my genealogy in 1996. Using Find A Grave to locate some of my ancestors has been very helpful. I have just begun working on linking my family.

A big "THANK YOU" to all the Find-A-Grave volunteers who have taken tombstone pictures for me. My goal is to get a tombstone picture of all my relatives and with the help of FAG I am well on my way. Thanks so much.

I am happy to transfer any memorials I have created that are not within my extended family. Please use the "EDIT" tab on the memorial to make your request.

Dear Ancestor

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder as you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
