Of Parents


Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Eunice Marie Elkin, four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Elkin, who live on a farm southwest of Milford. A short prayer service was held at the home at 2 p.m., and at the Little Sioux Lutheran church at 2:30, the Rev. E. A. Grefthen conducting the services, and the Rev. L. A. Mathre of Estherville, a former pastor of the family, delivering the sermon. Burial was in the Little Sioux Cemetery.

Eunice Marie Elkin was born January 23, 1936 on a farm near Estherville and died Sunday morning, April 7 at home of her parents, after an illness of some time with rheumatic fever.

She is survived by her parents and a baby brother about a year old, beside her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. The Elkin family moved to this community a year ago in March and have made a host of friends who sympathize with them in their sorrow.
