Mrs. Della Alston, 66, a resident of 1230 25th st. Gulfport, died at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday at Driftwood Nursing Center, Gulfport. Mrs. Alston, wife of Clarence O. Alston was born Oct. 28, 1911, in Gulfport. She was a charter member of the l5th Street Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Arnold L. Alston Walter G. Alston and Bobby R. Alston all of Gulfport; two brothers, Buck Woodcock of Anchorage, AK and Everette Bond of Long Beach; two sisters, Mrs. Odel (Hazel) Cuevas of Gulfport and Mrs. Albert Alexander of Long Beach, and six grandchildren. Friends may call at the Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport Wednesday from 6:30 - 9 p.m. Services will be held at l0 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Virgil Skipper, paster of the l5th Street Missionary Baptist Chapel Church, assisted by the Rev. Joe Cofield, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Allen Cemetery in Long Beach.
