Mrs. Betsy Hanson died in Portland on June 30th, 1919 at 5:15 p.m. Mrs. Hanson had not been well for some time and recently went to Portland for treatment.

She was born in Gaylord, Minnesota in 1861, being 58 years of age at the time of her death. She was the widow of the late Christian Hanson who died about four years ago.

Mrs. Hanson was the mother of five children all of whom were present at the funeral to mourn her loss. They are Halberg Hanson of Portland; Sibert Hanson, Mrs. Bernice Hood, Mrs. Cora Bratton, and Arvol Hanson, all of this place.

The relatives of the deceased have the sympathy of the entire community in the loss of a kind and loving mother.

The remains were brought to Toledo Tuesday and the interment was Wednesday in the Toledo cemetery. Rev. Ramstad preached the funeral sermon at the Lutheran church.
