Alice Ruth was born September 3, 1931, in Tyler Texas. Her parents were Jack and Willie Stanley of Tyler. She was the youngest of seven children including five brothers and one sister. She graduated from Tyler High School in 1948. In 1952, Alice Ruth was married to William A. "Bill" Badsgard in Glendale, California. They celebrated 40 years of marriage before his death in 1992.
Mrs. Badsgard was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt, and proud grandmother. She was loyal to a large circle of friends. She served as a Sunday School teacher and a Girl Scout leader. She was employed by the North Orange County Community College District for 28 years and retired as a Site Manager in 1995.
