Leo was born in Whitehouse, Texas on April 12, 1927, to Lieuwillie Alice "Willie" Price and Crumuel Jackson "Jack" Stanley. He was a graduate of John Tyler High School and of Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from East Texas State College in Commerce, Texas. Leo enlisted in the U.S. Navy in the spring of 1946, and served as a corpsman until he was honorably discharged when World War II ended. He joined the Naval Reserve following the end of the war, and was recalled to active duty during the Korean Conflict. He then rejoined the Naval Reserve and continued to serve in the reserve until he retired in 1985, having achieved the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer.

Leo married Mary Ruth Wilbanks of Tyler, Texas in April of 1947. He worked as an oil and gas accountant for many years, and was one of the first computer programmers for Pennzoil.

He and his wife, Mary, were active as volunteers with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for many years. Leo was also very active in his church and served as a deacon for over 30 years. Leo and his wife moved to Kirbyville, Texas in 1997, and had recently moved to Tomball, Texas.

Leo is survived by his wife of 74 years, his daughters, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
