Delores E. (Voss) Becker, age 95, passed away at Caring Hands Assisted Living, New Holstein on Monday evening, February 20, 2023.

Delores was born the oldest of nine children on May 15, 1927, to the late Frederick and Selma (Bartz) Voss. She attended school in the Town of Meeme. At the age of 15 she moved to Kiel to work as a housekeeper for the Stoelting Family. Delores was amazed at the responsibility she was given. She did the cooking, cleaning and shopping. Being able to walk into any store and charge groceries was a whole new world for this country girl. At the age of 18, Delores worked at the Hansen Glove Factory. She married Elroy Becker on April 9, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2009. They lived on the Becker Homestead where Delores resided for 75 years. Together, they enjoyed fishing and camping. Fall sturgeon fishing on the Menominee River was her favorite. For many years they were the caretakers of the Hermitage Club. Delores also enjoyed bowling in many leagues and participating in State tournaments. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She took pride in being their grandmother and caregiver.

Survivors include her children: David (Ann) Becker, Theresa (Joseph) Koenig and Brad (Lynne) Becker; eight grandchildren: Mike (Kellie) Becker, Shelly (Brett) Schmitz, Kelly (Rodney) Arnold, Sarah (Todd) Dezwarte, Tonie (Matt Gerhard) Becker, Kimberly (Kory) Feldman, Samantha (Josh) Berens and Maxine (David) Heimann; great-grandchildren: Michael, Ashton, Aubrey, Ellison, Ethan, Greyson, Cruz, Vivianna, Kaleb, Mason, Austin, Evelynn, Brooklynn and Jonathan. Delores is further survived by one sister: Shirley Schneider; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Dorothy Voss, Donna Voss, Maggie Voss, Donald Gallagher, Geraldine Hollenbeck and Stan (Lynn) Becker, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Words can't express our gratitude to the staff at Caring Hands. The compassion and respect given to our Mom went above and beyond. Also thank you to Calumet County Hospice for guiding us through her last days.

The number of people that were blessed by her loving touch are too many to count.

You showed us strength until the very end. We are so proud to call you Mom and Grandma.
