Kenneth M. Hyland, 53, Ex-Area Resident, Dies
Kenneth M. Hyland, 53, a former resident of Rock Dell, died of a heart attack Monday at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin.
Mr. Hyland, a Hormel employee and Austin resident, was born Sept 4, 1919 near Rock Dell, where he lived until 1941. He married Artancy Larson Feb 3, 1945 in Rock Dell.
Survivors include his widow; one son David, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one daughter, Mrs. Duncan (Pamela) Hogg of Mt. Clemens, Mich; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Winslow and Mrs. Earl Weiland both of Austin.
His parents, three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin, the Rev. Warren Jorenby officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
Friends may call at the Jordan Mortuary in Austin after 1 p.m. Wednesday through 11 a.m. Thursday. There will be no reviewal at the church.
