Leo Charles Owen, passed away while surrounded by his loving family January 27, 2008. He was born March 14, 1924, to Charles Alford and Daisy Amanda Palmer Owen, in Hinckley, Utah. He married his eternal sweetheart Erma Jane Bethers, August 16, 1947 in Evanston, Wyoming. They later sealed their love for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Leo was a true family man and loved being with his children and grandchildren at every activity they participated in. He loved to fish, play cards and taught his family to appreciate them both. Leo was a member of the LDS church and served in several responsibilities in the church. The measure of love for him can only be expressed in the tender care his family provided for him during his last few weeks, as he battled cancer. Leo is survived by his loving wife, children, Margie (Steve) McLaughlan, Vern (Kerrie) Owen, Rosemary (John) Hill, Barbara (Gene) Porter, Retha (John) Jeppson, 28 grandchildren, 49 great-grand-children, brother, George (Mary), sisters, Lucile Meyers, Retta (Joe) Faris, Nina (Pinky) Andersen, Edna (Ross) Andersen, and his four legged friend, Penny. He was preceded in death by son, Charles Albert Owen, parents, brothers, Spencer, Vernon, sisters, Lela Christensen, Lapriel Owen. A special thanks for the loving care from the Alliance Hospice especially his nurse Charlee Piner. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., February 1, 2008 at the West Valley 2nd Ward, 3150 W. Whitehall Dr. (3985 S.). Family and friends may call at 6-8 p.m., January 31, 2008 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S. Magna and 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
