Mr. Childs was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brothers, Phillip W. Childs of Ajo and Robert Childs of Colorado Springs, Colorado; by his sisters, Mary Leon and Juanita Bailey, both of Ajo, Martha Celaya of Tucson, and Fillman Bell of Arlington, Arizona.
The Rev. Simon Lewis of Goodyear officiated at graveside services at Ten Mile Ranch where Mr. Childs was laid to rest.
