Eula Melton Feagan
Mrs. Eula Feagan, 82, of Roby, died at 11 p.m. Monday, March 5, 1984 in Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p m. Wednesday, March 7, 1984 at Roby Church of Christ with Richard Melton, her nephew, and Wardell Halliburton, minister, officiating. Burial was in the Roby Cemetery under the direction Weathersbee Funeral Home.
The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clay Melton, Mrs. Feagan was born February 19, 1902 in the Fox Hollow Community in Palo Pinto, County. The family moved to Roby in 1907 where she has been a life long resident. She married J .T. "Jake" Feagan on March 10, 1922 in Roby. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1966. Mrs. Feagan," Gran" as she was lovingly known, was a Christian, a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Her life was spent devoting herself to her loved one.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Guy Melton and Arlon Melton, and one sister, Claudean Melton Piper.
She will be missed and her memory cherished by her family: a daughter, Betty Ruth Bruner of Sweetwater; a son, Edward Clay Feagan of Abilene; a brother, Dick Melton of Roby; three sisters; Fila Melton Campbell, Ola Melton McGinnis, and Ora Melton Bennett, all of Roby, five grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
