Orin Grant Allred Date: March 26, 1998 MAGNA--Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Orin Grant Allred, 78, passed away March 24, 1998. He was born October 29, 1919 in Ephraim, Utah to Orson Vern and Stella Olivia Frandsen Allred. He married Velma Zabriskie December 31, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS church where he built and provided the scenery for Road Shows for many years and was involved in the scouting program. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He retired as a carpenter from Kennecott Copper after 32 years of service. He was a volunteer for the Magna Senior Citizens Center. Survived by his wife; children, Patsy (Brent) Dea, Shannon (Kent) Schlappi, Gary (Annetta) Allred, and Janet (Harold) Garcia; nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and brother, Roger (Mildred) Allred. Preceded in death by parents and two brothers. Now your pain and suffering are gone, and you are with our Heavenly Father. We will always cherish your love and the time we spent together. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Beehive Retirement Home and their staff. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 30, 1998, 12 noon at the Magna Stake Center, 3084 South 8400 West. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and Monday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
