Ruth Evelyn Allen, 86, of Asheville, died Thursday, December 12, 2002, in an Asheville nursing center.
Mrs. Allen was born in Yancey County and was a daughter of Henry Clay and Amanda McMahan Ball. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Mack Allen, a daughter Louise Allen, two sons Curtis Lee Allen and Paul Allen, a sister Grace Pendleton and a brother Samuel Ball.
She is survived by a daughter, a sister, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at Banks Creek Cemetery near Burnsville
