Her brother, Oscar Lee Marsh was born in 1886, Tennessee and Rhodie Bertha Marsh 3-15-1897 (my grandmother) in
Tipton County Tennessee.
Effie's father died of pneumonia between 3-1897 and 12-1899. On his death bed, "Fate's" request was that his younger brother, Daniel, care for his young family. Uncle Dan married Cynthia 1899, New Madrid, Missouri. He reared the children as if they were his own but refused to let the children call him "Father", out of respect for his brother.
Uncle Dan and my great grandmother, Cynthia, had two sons, James and Ira. 1913 Nov Effie Pearl first married W.B. Peace/Pease of Deckerville, in the county of Poinsett Arkansas, age 30. Effie Marsh of Deckerville was age 22.
In the 1920 census, Effie is still living with her family but referred to as "widowed". She later married Walter Jennings. The last 8 years of Effie's short life was in Arizona. She had cancer and died after surgery. She never had children. My mother is named after her Aunt Effie Pearl Marsh.
