Kilbourne, IL - Phillip N. Willing, 78, of Kilbourne died Monday, June 14, 2004, at the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy, IL.

Born Nov. 10, 1925, in Kilbourne to Eugene L. and Sadie A. Jackson Willing, he married Rose Mary Dobson on Aug. 27, 1947, in Springfield. She survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Thomas (and Diane) and Clarence "Bud," both of Kilbourne, Timothy (and Cheryl) of Jacksonville, NC, and Michael (and Maggie) of Chandlerville; two daughters, Barbara Lewis and Karen Dearing, both of Kilbourne; one brother, Walter of Kaiser, MO; one sister, Dorothy Christner of Danvers; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

He was a military veteran.

He was a machinist at Prairie Steel in Havana before retiring.

He served as trustee for Kilbourne Township and had been the caretaker of Kilbourne Cemetery for 40 years.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Graveside services will be in Kilbourne Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Lintner-Buchanan Funeral Home of Chandlerville is in charge of arrangements.
