Antoine Dupuis, the son of Martin Dupuis and Marie Landry, was born in 1688 in the French settlement at Riviere-aux-Gaspareaux, south of current day Grand Pre', Nova Scotia, Canada. He was first married at Saint-Charles-des-Mines in Grand Pre' on 4 July 1712 to Marguerite Babin, the daughter of Charles Babin and Madeleine Richard. There appears to be no children from his first marriage. He married a second time in 1719 to Marie Josephe Dugas, the daughter of Joseph and Claire Bourg of Cobeguid. Marie Josephe was born about 1702 or 1703. They lived on Riviere-aux-Habitants in the parish of Saint-Joseph-de-la-Riviere-aux-Canards (later known as just Riviere-aux-Canards), which is west of Grand Pre' in current day Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada, where their children were born. Antoine Dupuis died at Riviere-aux-Habitants in March 1747. His wife Marie Josephe died the same place and year. Their children are listed below.

2. Magdeleine/Madeleine Dupuis, born 26 April 1722, baptized 27 April 1722, married Joseph Hebert (son of Rene' & Marie Boudreaux) [ref:1,3]

3. Antoine Dupuis, born 16 November 1723, married at Riviere-aux-Canards 1750 to Marquerite Boudreaux (daughter of Michel and Anne Marie LeBlanc of Port Royal). Antoine died 6 August 1765 and Marquerite 20 October 1764 in Mirebalais, St. Domingue (Haiti). [ref:1,3,4]

4. Simon Pierre Dupuis, born 24 April 1727, baptized 20 July 1727, married in 1750 Marie LeBlanc (daughter of Jean & Marie Theriot). He married a second time on 19 October 1761 to Elizabeth Thibodeaux (born 1721, widow of Pierre Savoy) at Chipoudy. [ref:1,3]
