Mrs. J.W. Hayward died Tuesday afternoon at the H.W. Eder home in Orton Township of influenza after a very brief illness. Mr. and Mrs. Hayward came from Max, Nebraska about three weeks ago, having rented one of Mr. Eder's farms. The grief stricken husband left Wednesday with the remains of his wife for Max, Nebr. where interment will be made. No children survive.
