Former Resident Was Brother to
Mrs. W. C. Van Ness of Centerville
Word has been received here of the death of Andy Close, who was a resident of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, and who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sid Tibbets, at Livermore, Colorado. Death occurred at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Close was a brother to Mrs. W. C. Van Ness of this city and an uncle to Mrs. Grover Vannoy, also of Centerville (Iowa). He was born and reared in Centerville and will be remembered by many residents here who mourn his passing.
One son, Raleigh Close, survives in addition to the daughter and lives in Caldwell, Idaho. The wife, formerly Lona Lane of the Concord vicinity, also survives. Five sisters and one brother preceded Mr. Close in death and Mrs. Van Ness is the only living member of the family. Four sons also preceded the father in death.
Funeral arrangements are not complete at this time.
