William F. Jacobitz of Bassett, Nebraska, passed away January 28, at Rock County Hospital in Bassett at the age of 84 years and 7 months after suffering a severe stroke two days before his death.

He was born five miles west of Nelson and attended the Red Line School during his grade school years.

He was married to Ethel Carroll March 1929 and lived in the Mt. Clare vicinity until 1934 at which time they moved to Cushing, Ord, Chambers and then to their present home. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Steven (Jacqueline) Smith of Camarillo, California and Mrs. William (Joyce) Walker of Pasedena (sic), California, and a son, Samuel Jacobitz of Bassett.

He leaves to mourn his passing his widow, Ethel; three children; five grandchildren; a brother, Henry; sisters, Ella Zeigler, Nelson and Lizzie of Hastings, besides many friends and other relatives.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Ferdinand and Wilhelmena; a brother, Albert and sisters, Bertha Glebe, Ida Sack, Clara Sorenson, Hulda Smith and Millie Moss.

He was a farmer and rancher all his life and worked up till the time of his death.
