Robert Albert Jacobitz, son of Ferdinand Julius Jacobitz and Wilhelmena (sic) Seehaver was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, September 1, 1873 and passed away in the Veterans Hospital, Lincoln, Nebraska, Friday March 13, 1964 at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 12 days.

He was confirmed in the Salem Lutheran Church, Smyrna, Nebraska.

He volunteered for duty in the Spanish-American War and was honorably discharged at Presidio, California, August 23, 1889.
He was united in marriage to Clara Louise Meyer on May 31, 1905 in the Lutheran Church, Smyrna, Nebraska.

They made their home on a farm west of Nelson. To this union was born ten children, four sons and six daughters. Mrs. Edna Wade of Hawthorn, California; Edgar Jacobitz, Superior, Melvin Jacobitz, Columbus; Evelyn Conger, Burbank, California; Esther Kimminau, Grand Junction, Colorado; Ivan Jacobitz, Nelson; Irene Kalassinsky, Rock Springs, Wyoming; Lyle Jacobitz, Hebron; Inez Beal, Gardena, California; Nellie Maxine Ferrell, Los Angeles, California.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his mother and father, one brother Julius, four sisters, Bertha Glebe, Hulda Smith, Ida Sack, and Amelia Moss.

Surviving besides his ten children are twenty-one grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Miss Lizzie Jacobitz, Hastings; Mrs. Ella Ziegler, Ainsworth; Mrs. Clara Sorenson, Kalispell, Montana; two brothers, Henry of Nelson and William of Bassett, Nebraska and a host of neices (sic), nephews and friends.
