Doris M. Sharpless, 84, of Sandy Ridge, died Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Windy Hill Village, PSL, Philipsburg.
Doris was born on May 18, 1938, in Houtzdale, a daughter of the late David A. and Ruth M. (Price) Anderson.
Doris was a 1956 graduate of the Moshannon Valley School District.
She was employed during her working career with Charles Navasky & Co., Philipsburg, until her retirement.
Doris was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Sandy Ridge.
She was married on October 21, 1961, in Winchester, Virginia, to Lynn A. Sharpless, Sr., who preceded her in death on December 19, 2013.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Glasgow and a brother, James E. Anderson, in addition to her parents and husband.
Doris is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Powell, of Coudersport; a son, Lynn A. Sharpless, Jr. and his wife, Heather, of Osceola Mills; two grandchildren, Thomas Powell and Natalie Sharpless; a sister, Dawn Petro and her husband, Jim, of Hawk Run; and numerous other extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 11 am, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle Street, Osceola Mills, with Pastor Gloria Montgomery, officiating.
Visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of the service.
Interment will be in IOOF Cemetery, Brisbin.
