She was the vivacious daughter born to Etta Sims Davenport and Henry Davenport. A lifelong educator, Alma faithfully taught the children in her care in the Atlanta Public School system. She showed love to everyone, especially the elderly. She raised three beautiful sons, and absolutely cherished her grandchildren, whom she would tell everyone were the best on Earth. No one left her table without a delicious meal and a hug, because she relished family time. She enjoyed great music, dancing, singing and trips with family.
Alma is greatly missed by her devoted husband, John Roberts, three sons, three grandchildren, eight siblings, hundreds of loving cousins, relatives and many friends. Our dear one has joined the ancestors, and we miss her .
The Celebration of Life was held on December 5, 2020, with Pastor Loretta L. Cooper of New Life Christian Outreach Ministries presiding.
