• REXROAT -- Services for Lena Belle Jones, 89, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Rexroat Baptist Church with the Rev. J.B. Lovelace and the Rev. Monte Dean officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Jones was born Dec. 15, 1911, at Collinsville, Texas, to Eber and Edna Owens Swindle and died June 1, 2001, at Ardmore.
She was raised in Collinsville and graduated from Collinsville High School. She was married to Itha "Ike" L. Jones on Feb. 15, 1940. The two of them lived in Oil City until moving to Graham in 1955 where she was manager of Graham School System Cafeteria for 20 years. Retiring in 1976, she and her husband moved to Wilson that same year. She was a member of the Rexroat Baptist Church. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1991. Other family members preceding her in death include one son, Gary Jones, in 1968 and two brothers, Ty and J.B. Swindle.
She is survived by one son, Gerald Jones, Wilson; four sisters, Oleta Cox, Dorothy Mae Carney, both of Collinsville, Catherine Kerr, Gainesville, Texas, and Nedra Boaz, Denton, Texas; two brothers, Eber Swindle, Mesquite, Texas, and Ned Swindle, Collinsville; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be the Rexroat Baptist Church men.
Services under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
