Wilson- Memorial Services for Mr. Gerald Lloyd Jones, 73, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson, Oklahoma with Rev. David Gardner officiating and Rev. Morgan Ashworth assisting. Interment will follow at the Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, Oklahoma.

Gerald Lloyd Jones was born February 9, 1941 to Mr. Itha "Ike" Lloyd Jones and Mrs. Lena Belle (Swindle) Jones at Fillmore, California. He passed from this life Monday, April 28, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Gerald was raised in Graham attending school there. He graduated from Graham High School as Valedictorian in 1959.After graduating high school he received a scholarship to attend Oklahoma State University where he played basketball. Gerald married Victoria "Vicki" Ann Gardner May 19, 1962 at Lake Murray Chapel in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He joined the U.S. Air Force in January 1962 and served in the Oklahoma City Air Force Station 746 ACW Early Warning Air Defense Command and was honorably discharged in January 1966. After being discharged from the Air Force Gerald returned to Oklahoma State University where he graduated in 1969 .Soon after college he began teaching at Terral High School where he taught from July 1969 until January 1974. Later moving to Wilson, Oklahoma where he taught High School from 1974 until 1995. Gerald was a member of the Oklahoma and National Vo-Ag Teachers Association for 25 years, a Member of the Bluetick Breeders and Coonhunters Association where he served on the board of directors and was a State Representative, a member of the Oklahoma Federation of Coonhunters where he was President for 2 years, a lifetime member of the Oklahoma State Coonhunters Association where he was Secretary for 11 years. He was currently serving on the Wilson School Board.

Gerald is preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Ann (Gardner) Jones; Parents, Itha "Ike" and Lena Belle Jones; Brother, Gary Claude Jones; Father and Mother in law, Marion and Evelyn Gardner; Brother and Sister in law, Buck and Lydia Gardner.

Survivors include his Daughters, Sherri McBride of Wilson, OK., Tori Beck and husband, Russell of Lone Grove, OK. and Christi Jones of Wilson, OK;Son, Greg Jones and wife, LaTitia of Bayfield, CO.; 9 Grandchildren, Cameron McBride, Ian Jones, Gabrielle McBride, Micah Odoms, Josh Beck, Justin Aycox, Adison Jones, Shelby McBride and Abigail Beck; 1 Great Granddaughter, Sophia McBride; 1 Nephew, Gary Dean Jones of Sulphur, OK.; Numerous other Family and Friends.

Pallbearers are Joe Buzidragis, Barry Hickman, Chris Fletcher, Mark Shores, Josh Beck, Cameron McBride, Adison Jones and Russell Beck.

Honorary Bearers are James Copeland, Denis Epley, Yvonne Epley, Mike Copeland, Dale Vernon, Kevin Stinson, Micah Odom, Ian Jones and Justin Aycox, Johnnie Crutchfield, Brian Guerin, Gary Scott Labeth and all of the former FFA Students.

Visitation will be Friday, May 2, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, OK.

Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
