James E. Ammerman, age 83, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Harborview Health Systems, in Georgetown, Kentucky. Born in Grant County, Kentucky, on June 19, 1939, to the late George Givens and Sarah Gillispie Ammerman, he retired from Bundy Tubing, after 41 years. James was a member of Leesburg Christian Church and a United States Army veteran, where he served two years in Germany, and volunteered seven years for the Bluegrass Care Navigators.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Givens Ammerman and David Ammerman. He is survived by: his wife, Judy Ammerman; a daughter, JoAnn (Chris Wolford) James; two stepsons, Aaron Porter and Jared Porter; a brother, Gerald (Janie) Ammerman; three sisters, Susan (Elaine DeSherlia) Ammerman, Judy (Wayne) Ware and Connie (William) Horn; two grandchildren, Austin Vinegar and Tyrone Vinegar; two sisters-in-law, Mattie Ammerman and Connie Ammerman; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 20, at the Battle Grove Cemetery Meditation Building by Bro. Clifford Neat, with visitation at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1317 US Highway 62 East, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.
