He had been a plant operator for the City of Mesa. He was survived by a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Peterson of Globe; his wife, Norma T.; son, Jeddy K.

Services for Kent Clarence Shumway, 59, were held at
10 a.m. October 19th in Mesa 10th Ward of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop C. Max
Killian officiating. Burial was in Pinedale Cemetery.
Gibbons Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Shumway died October 15th in Mesa. He was born
in Snowflake and had been a plant operator for the City
of Mesa. He had also served an LDS mission for the
church in Texas and Louisiana in 1936-1937.

Mr. Shumway is survived locally by a sister, Mrs.
Kenneth Peterson of Globe. Other survivors include
his wife, Norma T., son Jeddy K with the American
Embassy in Liberia, Africa. Two daughters, out of
state, mother Mrs. Esther Shumway of Mesa. Five
brothers, Ric hard W. of Mesa, Philip of Tucson and
three out of state. One sister, out of state.
